Workshop Foreman (Hyundai Paarden Eiland)
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS5.
Staff:-
- To ensure staff
are trained to enable high levels of quality and efficiency.
- To ensure jobs
are fairly and correctly allocated to technicians and mechanics.
- To supervise
tests and ensure correct use of equipment and document security.
- To ensure all
job sheets are correctly written up and forwarded to the cost office for
pricing.
Security:-
- Ensure
customers' property is secure.
- Ensure all
materials and parts drawn from the Parts Department are accounted for.
- Ensure all
equipment and documentation is accounted for.
- To ensure all
warranty work, documentation and materials are accounted for.
Administration:-
- To ensure
progress of jobs through the workshop.
- To authorise
consumable and internal parts requisitions.
- To authorise any
non-productive time spent on vehicles or in the workshop.
- To ensure health
and safety procedures are observed and maintained at all times.
- To circulate new
and up-to-date manuals and literature for new vehicles or techniques.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
- The ability to
supervise a labour force.
- The ability to
assess and report on staff performance.
- The ability to
discuss and negotiate agreeable solutions to customer problems.
- The ability to
maintain personal technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified
Technician
- 2-3 years
experience as a Workshop Foreman
