Installations Supervisor – Randburg

Job description


  • Ensure that the technicians have a good understanding of the Company goals and strategy
  • Ensure that the technicians have a good understanding of the installation process
  • Compile monthly stats on customer service reports and report to the department manager.
  • Ensure that new information regarding methods of installing is communicated between your team members
  • Compile monthly stats on recovery rate reports and report to the department manager
  • Ensure that the technicians follow the predetermined schedule in order to achieve maximum productivity while delivering excellent customer service
  • Ensure that the technicians Liaise with scheduling with regards to installation address, vehicle details, etc. in order to ensure integrity.
  • Ensure that the technician’s allocated jobs are completed at a rate of 100% or better.
  • Liaise with scheduling to ensure that the technician’s schedules are correct to minimise cancellations and frustrations.
  • Ensure that the technicians have the necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Ensure that the technician’s vehicles are serviced and maintained to minimise breakdowns.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the scheduling supervisors to ensure that efficiencies are met
  • Compile monthly stats on efficiency reports and report the department manager
  • Ensure that regular onsite visits are conducted on a regular basis to encourage visibility toward the technicians.
  • Disciplinary procedures upheld and maintained.
  • Tool check, vehicle checks, and clothing and observe general good manners at a client of the technicians.
  • Vehicle allocations and maintenance.
  • Regular meetings with scheduling to establish any shortfalls and technician area allocations.
  • Tech well-being and ongoing support
  • Assist with project maintenance – oversee and report on ongoing status
  • Maintain a good relationship with Management – Installations and scheduling manager
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with the Supervisor: Installation Quality
  • Compile monthly report the department manager.

Minimum requirements

  • Matric or equivalent qualification is a must.
  • Auto electrical or mechanical trade qualification is an advantage
  • 5-years minimum tracking device installation experience
  • 2-year minimum supervisory experience
  • Customer service driven
  • Possess sound technical, fault-finding and analytical skills and knowledge relating specifically to the electrical/electronic components of any type of vehicle.
  • Possess excellent administrative and PR skills
  • Possess excellent organising and coordinating skills
  • Possess the necessary skills to deliver service excellence
  • Computer literacy (MS Office) is a prerequisite
  • Possess a coaching and mentoring training
