Young Talent Specialist / Early Careers Specialist
Job Function:
- To manage the
young talent pipelines that contribute to effective talent planning and
development ensuring that Imperial has an uninterrupted supply of talent
for critical and scarce skills for today and the future. This role will
manage the full value chain of graduates, interns as well as external
bursaries & scholarships.
Key performance areas:
Young Talent Programmes:
- Identify
business requirement for young talent across the Group including
graduates, interns, vacation work requirements and similar talent
requirements.
- Develop young
talent workplace programmes according to identified needs, ensure training
/ capacity building is executed with line managers/mentors and HRBPs.
- Formulate a
project plan for each programme which includes milestones, budgets and
marketing plans to deliver on young talent programme objectives.
- Implement the
new Imperial Bursary & Scholarship Programme.
- Monitor and
report on progress against project plans and make adjustments where
required
- Engage with
business and P&C partners to monitor the progress of the programme
plans including tracking of progress on a monthly basis and implementing
risk mitigation initiatives • Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to
ensure customer service excellence.
- Manage the
successful transition of young talent that exit programmes.
Relationship Management:
- Build effective
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely
with the Talent Acquisition team to source and attract young talent.
- Marketing &
networking with tertiary institutions to attract new talent.
- Build, manage
and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies, including
SETAs, SAGEA, various professional bodies etc.
Learning Administration, Governance &
Compliance:
- Develop and/or
maintain all learning & development governance policies, processes and
procedures related to Young Talent.
- Ensure all
administration and record keeping activities are completed timeously and
in accordance with relevant policies & procedures.
- Ensure
compliance with Skills Development, legislative and client specific
criteria and regulations.
- Manage and
ensure timeous and accurate reporting on learning and development
activities and solutions, including grant reporting.
Financial Management:
- Contribute to
the setting of training budgets for Young Talent Programmes, minimize
expenditure and manage costs and assets effectively.
- Prepare and
submit required financial reports
Nature of position:

Qualifications required
- Relevant
Bachelor’s degree
Skills and experience required:
- At least 5
years’ experience in a similar role/environment, supporting talent
programmes in a large organisation.
