Researcher: Autoimmune Disease Modelling

Duties    

Participating in planning and conducting research that leads to research outputs;

Supervising postgraduate students in thesis-based postgraduate programmes;

Co-managing the Zebrafish Husbandry Unit;

Representing The Experimental Medicine Group at scientific meetings;

Facilitating learning and training (including teaching, mentoring and guiding postgraduate students) in theoretical and practical aspects of Disease Modelling and Drug Discovery;


Planning, organising and facilitating learning opportunities;

Involvement in community interaction activities.

 Job Requirements    

PhD in Physiology or closely related discipline in the health sciences;

At least two years' post-doctoral research experience;

A published track record of both pre-clinical and clinical research experience in the context of autoimmune disease;

Published evidence of your ability to develop clinically relevant disease models in cells, rodents and zebrafish;

Comprehensive knowledge of zebrafish husbandry practices, including related legislation;

Good communication and supervision skills;

The ability to function well within a team.
