Communications And Marketing Coordinator - JHB
Duties
and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all forms
of corporate communications, including branding and messaging are aligned
with corporate guidelines
- Manage the
process of content generation, graphic design, and layout for
communications materials such as brochures, booth posters, corporate
videos, PowerPoint presentations, internal and external reports, etc.
- Strong knowledge
of design standards
- Create executive
presentations that visually communicate a compelling story
- Administer
content, design, operational oversight, and maintenance of company
websites
- Build
relationships with internal clients and manage expectations
- Be prepared to
respond to short-term deadlines
- Manage
department filing of creative assets – photos, branding suite, etc.
- Research and
gain an in-depth understanding of each internal client’s business
- Participate in
calls, gather internal clients’ requirements, and brainstorm with the
teams to develop content and design for various digital platforms,
including Social Media
- Assist in
creating graphics for all Social Media sites and managing postings
- Use Social Media
Management (SMM) tools to manage various sites, workflows, and approvals
- Coordinate with
internal teams for social posting, content, and design
- Generate, edit,
publish, and share engaging content (e.g., original text, photos, videos,
and news)
- Monitor
followers and comments using Social Media listening tools and report
regularly to senior management
- Oversee Social
Media accounts’ design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover and profile
pictures)
- Provide backup
for department administrative duties, as required
- Ensure
deliverables are met consistently on time and above expected quality
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant degree
or equivalent qualification in Communications and Marketing
- Min 3 years
experience in corporate/agency sector in communications, investor
relations, marketing, graphic design or social media
- Proficiency in
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), SMM tools
(Hootsuite, Lithium or Spredfast, Web platforms and Social Media platforms
(FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, and WeChat, etc.)
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
- Previous
experience in mining or natural resources, as well as experience with
corporate copywriting and editing will be advantageous
- The ability to
speak and write in French will be advantageous
